Following in your footsteps

"A father said to his son be careful where you walk. The son responded you be careful, remember I follow in your footsteps."

It's easy to get caught up in the day to day routine and schedules we more commonly call life. We sometimes forget that while we are striving to do better for our children that they are watching our every step. If we don't take the time to slow down and enjoy the life we are creating for our children what is the point. It's moments such as these that it is so clear the true gifts and blessings we have; our children. They don't need the newest pair of Jordans or the best gaming system to play Fortnite on. What they need is us. They need to be hugged and told they did a great job. They need to see you put down your phone and go outside for a walk or throw around the football. They need to know they are wanted, needed and loved. They need to see us put them first so as they can follow in our footsteps.
