Beethoven in the Village: A Piano Concert by Jordan Hillman

What an amazing compliment it is to take a headshot for an upcoming piano recital for the INCREDIBLY talented Jordan Hillman. I have never heard anyone play like Mr. Hillman. He is a man with so many talents from singing to playing. I hope he makes his own CD soon so I can listen to him over and over again. Jordan is the music director at the Rehoboth Congregational Church where he plays at weekly services and leads the choir. This is his first professional recital and the first date of a regional concert tour. The program will include famous pieces by Chopin, Schubert, and Gershwin, as well as one of Jordan's own compositions. Tickets are $20. Refreshments will be sold at intermission. VIP

Best Things in Life Aren't Things

Christmas through the eyes on a child; there is nothing sweeter. Gingerbread houses, sugar cookies, holiday parties school favors, Christmas lights and Santa. All the sweet little details we find daunting throughout the busy holiday season children find the most magic in. Holiday movies with popcorn and hot chocolate topped with marshmallows make holidays in my house magical during this crazy busy season. It is about the children and traditions and less about the gifts; It's making memories year after year and this family came in with smiles ready to go.

Outtake Holiday Card

I love when clients come with their own ideas. This year Miss A's family decided they wanted a blooper/outtake holiday card. Well, with this girl that is perfect because she has the perfect amount of sass and she bring it to each and every session. I decided to create the scene and let her have fun with it; then she could design the scene and go from there. Well, lets just say this was an incredible quick easy session as she was totally "in the groove" of all things bloopers. Make sure you view all the way to end :-).

Blue Christmas

Miss D came into her mini session ready to rock it and she did just that. Clothed in a pretty blue sparkly dress and matching Mary Jane's Miss D proudly sat in front of the set with the best look to date. Her fur shawl perfectly flowed over her shoulders and her dress puffed out in a pretty circle; she but her head in her hand with the slightest smile as if she knew this was the image she came into the studio for (this image below became the families holiday card this year). From here on she would twirl and giggle the rest of the session. We worked on her many faces to include in the session. It was so much fun.
